MACHINED FORGING

This part begins its life at F&L as a large rough forging. Through a series of machining operations using our custom made "poke-yoked" fixturing system, the end result is a precision part that ultimately saves lives when deployed on malfunctioning aircraft. The location tolerance from one side to the other is <.001 and total runout <.0005.

We began manufacturing small lots of these parts to support our customer's R&D program. It has since transitioned into long-term production. Through the efforts of our engineering and quality teams we have a system in place to ensure these tolerances can be achieved reliably in a production setting.
